With the recent sharp increase in the number of Covid-19 cases in Vermont, masks are required for all attendees for the entire celebration of the Mass, excluding children 2 and under. This action is being taken to ensure that all of our parishioners are safe at Mass and so that we can continue the public celebration of the sacraments.
A message from Rev. Deb of the East Craftsbury Presbyterian Church" This year our church will be making cookies for the Craftsbury/Albany Pop-up Pantry, which serves about 130 households. Our goal is to provide 130 dozen cookies - packaged by the 1/2 dozen - for the holiday distribution. ( We usually bake cookies for the Hardwick Area Food Pantry - you might, too. This year the Hardwick Area Food Pantry is partnering with local bakeries to provide cookies for their holiday baskets. It’s wonderful for them to support local businesses.) Would you like to partner together to provide these 130 dozen cookies? Working together makes the number seem more manageable! We’re asking folks to package them by the 1/2 dozen, in a ziplock bag. They can drop them off at my house before December 16 - I’ll store them in the freezer here. Or they can deliver them to the Pop-Up Pantry - at the Church on the Common December 16, Wednesday evening through Thursday, December 17, 11am. The cookies will be distributed December 17. We’re asking folks NOT to deliver them to the Church on the Common prior to Wednesday, December 16. THANK YOU!
A Message from Father Thomas: As we move into these uncertain winter months, I want you to know that we at Mary Queen of All Saints are here for you. We miss you. We invite you to come back to Mass if you have been away, even if it is one of our weekday Masses with fewer people present. If you are unsure about attending Sunday Masses during this time of pandemic, simply call the rectory, and I or a minister in the Church will meet you at the church to offer Holy Communion. I am also available to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation or the Anointing of the Sick. For Catholics, the Sacraments are instituted by Christ to give us grace. Pope Francis reminds us that Communion is not a reward for good behavior but medicine for the sick. We all need Christ’s help during these difficult times. Take time out each day for your own prayer. Pray as a family before meals. Watch Mass online if you don’t feel safe coming to Mass, and join in the online offerings that our parish and diocese offer. I am here for you and pray daily for you. This is my duty and blessing for me as a parish priest. God bless, Father Thomas Aquinas
